This policy explains how Humaneering, a product of Hedgehog Productions LLP (“we”, “us”), handles information in connection with the Performance Age mobile app and the website at humaneering.co. We have built both to collect as little as possible.
Your measurements. The cognitive and physical tests run on your device, and your results, dates and trend are saved locally in the app’s storage on your phone. They are not transmitted to us or to anyone else. You can delete them at any time in Settings → Clear all data, or by removing the app.
Purchases. If you buy the one-time unlock, the transaction is handled by Apple through the App Store; we never see your card details. To manage what you’ve unlocked (“entitlements”) and to support “Restore Purchase”, purchase and receipt information and an anonymous app-user identifier may be processed by our purchases provider, RevenueCat, Inc., acting on our behalf. This is not linked to your name and is not used to track you.
Notifications. If you turn on re-measure reminders, these are scheduled locally on your device. We do not run a server that sends you notifications.
If you use a tool on humaneering.co and choose to have your result emailed to you, we collect the email address you provide and your result summary, and process them through our newsletter provider, beehiiv, Inc., to send you that email and related updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
We rely on your consent (for emails), the performance of a contract (to deliver a purchase you make), and our legitimate interests in running the service securely.
We share information only with the providers that make the service work — Apple (payments), RevenueCat (entitlements), and beehiiv (email) — acting as our processors under contract. We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.
On-device data remains until you clear it or delete the app. Email data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Under UK/EU data-protection law you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent. To exercise these, contact us below. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Performance Age is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Because your results stay on your device, they are protected by your device’s own security. Data handled by our providers is protected under their security programmes.
Performance Age provides an educational estimate, not a medical or diagnostic test. It cannot detect, screen for or rule out any condition and is not a substitute for professional assessment.
We may update this policy; we’ll change the effective date above when we do.
